研究方向:智能交通系统(地面交通和轨道交通)、交通流建模(地面交通与轨道交通)、图像智能信息处理(模式识别)。作为负责人承担国家自然科学基金多项,承担和主要技术人员参与国家863、973等多项国家科研项目。作为负责人承担上海卡斯柯信号有限公司(连锁表蓝图自动识别软件,2014-2015)[2]、日本NTT视频图像处理等横向项目[1]。作为主要作为学术骨干参加了车联网技术方面的1个863项目(基于移动中继技术的车辆通信网络的研究,2007.10-2009.10)和智能交通系统方面的2个863项目[1](基于地空信息技术的稀疏网交通监控与预警系统,2009/01-2011/12;基于视频的交叉口交通状态全息检测技术,2007/10-2009/12)[1]。迄今为止,已在Communications in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation、IEEE Transactions on Intelligent Transportation System、 Nonlinear Dynamics等在国内外知名学术刊物上发表论文100多篇, SCI和EI收录100余篇(其中中科院分区二区以上论文7篇)[1],被引用150余次,以第一发明人申请国家专利10项,已授权8项;参编国家十一五规划教材一部[1];获得2018年吴文俊人工智能科学技术奖科技进步一等奖[3],2014年度山西省科学技术奖励二等奖(省部级[1]),2013年度山西省优秀成果自然科学成果一等奖(厅局级)[1]。获“上海交通大学国家优秀奖学金”、“光华一等奖学金”、 “优秀干部”、“同济大学奖教金二等奖”、 “同济大学网络与继续教育学院奖教金一等奖”、“同济大学电信学院突出贡献奖”、“同济大学本科毕业设计指导优秀奖”等荣誉称号[1],入选“同济大学青年优[1]秀人才培养行动计划”、“同济大学青年骨干教师资助计划”, “同济大学优秀青年教师计划”[2]。2010年度全国大学生光电设计竞赛一等奖[1],2008年同济大学教学成果奖二等奖[1],2012年度同济大学教学成果奖一等奖[1]。现任IEEE会员, IEEE 智能交通学会(ITS)会员,中国图像图形学会会员、上海市图像图形学会会员[1]。
